Bamboo
Weathering of exposed bamboo occurs due to the interaction of various climatic conditions, such as fluctuations in temperature and relative humidity. Repeated drying and wetting of exposed bamboo leads to tiny cracks in the bamboo surface. UV rays, in turn, break down the cellulose layer. Finally, wind and dust particles have a sandblasting effect on the bamboo surface. The combination of all these factors causes bamboo to weather. This reduces the bamboo's durability. To enjoy your bamboo garden furniture for a long time, it is important to treat the bamboo with bamboo oil two to four times a year to protect it from the elements.
